“You must feed your mind with reading material, thoughts, and ideas that open you to new possibilities.”
~Ophrah Winfrey

Time is a precious resource that all of us receive.  No matter whether you are young or old, rich or poor – All of us receive 24 a day every day.  The big difference is how each of us decides to use those 24 hours.  During the coming summer time you will also have some decisions to make about your time. The decisions you make about how to spend your time can make a huge difference in your future.  The upcoming summer vacations serve an important purpose because they do give you a chance to rest and break the routine of the classroom, but they also give you an opportunity to learn about the things you want to learn.  The cool thing about the summer is that your learning can happen in many other places and in many other ways.  The important thing will be to pick something that helps you to continue developing your intellect.  I am referring to activities outside of the classroom that will help you to find out more about your personality, abilities, talents, and interest.

I want to encourage you to identify some opportunities to make the most of your time during the summer.  Think about a book, think about a skill (language, coding, painting, musical instrument, etc) that you can pick up over the summer, think about a sport you want to play.  The possibilities are out there in your city for you to take full advantage of your time and make the most of your summer vacations.  The activities you complete to increase your skills over the summer will have a domino effect in your development.  You will start to notice you are a better person as a result of these changes.  Once you start to see that you have no limit to how much and what you can learn – you will take that with you into the classroom next school year.  Time is a precious resource and your future is worth you taking the time to make the most of every opportunity.  ¡ECHALE GANAS!
